How MCCSA Sustains Ableo
Ableo is a self-sustaining social enterprise. Revenue generated through the platform directly funds MCCSA programs and keeps Ableo free for the people who need it most.
Platform Service Fees
A small fee (2-5%) is charged to employers on each completed transaction. Freelancers with disabilities keep 100% of their earnings — always.
Employer Subscriptions
Monthly plans for businesses wanting to hire regularly. Subscription revenue helps fund platform operations and community programs.
Inclusive Employer Certification
Companies pay an annual fee to be certified as an Ableo Inclusive Employer, gaining a verified badge and public recognition for their commitment.
Government and Grant Funding
As an MCCSA initiative, Ableo is eligible for state and federal disability employment grants, social enterprise funding, and philanthropic support.
Corporate Partnerships
Partnerships with organisations committed to inclusive hiring, providing co-branded programs, referral pipelines, and joint grant applications.
Social Impact Reinvestment
A portion of all revenue is reinvested directly into MCCSA programs: accessibility improvements, freelancer training, and community support services.

Pricing Questions
- Will freelancers ever be charged?
- No. Freelancers on Ableo will never pay a commission or fee. This is a core principle of the platform and will not change. Our fees are charged to employers only.
- How does the platform fee work?
- When an employer hires a freelancer and the project is completed, a small platform fee (2-5% depending on the employer plan) is added to the employer's total cost. The freelancer receives their full agreed rate.
- Can NGOs and community organisations get reduced rates?
- Yes. MCCSA recognises that many of our employer partners are also NGOs, charities, or social enterprises. Contact us to discuss a partnership rate.
- Where does the revenue go?
- Platform revenue covers hosting, development, and operations. A minimum of 25% of net revenue is reinvested into MCCSA programs including accessibility improvements, freelancer support, and community services.
- Is Ableo eligible for government funding?
- Yes. As an initiative of MCCSA, Ableo is actively seeking disability employment grants from the South Australian and Federal governments, as well as philanthropic foundations.
